Maintenance Surveyor

LOCATION: West Yorkshire

SALARY: £25,000 - £35,000

Our client is a Property Management Company who are a well-established company within their
industry and have successfully been trading for many years in the private property
services sector.
They offer a variety of property management services for mainly residential block management, this encompasses services such as arranging day to day general repair, long term cyclical maintenance programs, service charge accounting, credit control functions, company secretarial functions and many more ad-hoc services our clients may require.

Due to expansion they are seeking to employ an experienced Maintenance Surveyor to manage a portfolio of developments predominately in the Yorkshire region

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the department as well as developing new leads and driving these forward in to new business. 

The position will be based at their head office in Leeds. The successful candidate
will report to the Head of the Maintenance surveying department.

Specific Maintenance Surveyor Duties
•Day to day management of a portfolio of residential developments
•Carry out periodic development inspections
•Review Health & Safety and Fire Risk Assessments
•Deal with Contractors contracts
•Set and agree service charge budgets
•Reply to leaseholders enquires within predefined timescales
•Understand the Section 20 process for qualifying works
•Attend property AGM’s and hold open forum discussion
•Attend shareholder / RMC Directors meetings as and when required
•Ensure property expenditure is in line with the service charge budget
•To continually uphold the good name of the company

The position will be permanent following the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period. 

The candidate should hold one of the following qualifications AIRMP, MIRPM, AssocRICS, MRICS or be studying towards one of the qualifications. A minimum of 3 years property experience is desirable but not essential.

Starting salary £25,000 to £30,000 dependant on experience + £3,600 car allowance
Holiday allowance of 23 days increasing by 1 day after each year up to a maximum of 27 days.
